Job Description
- Experience in Independent development and analysis of process system for FSRU/FPSO and other offshore process system.
- Expertise in compressors, separator, Re gasification design.
- Should be an expert in development & review of PFDs, P&IDs, simulation reports, process specification, Cause & effect chart, logic diagram, hydraulic calculation, design & sizing of pressure vessels, compressors, heat exchangers, safety valve, control valve etc.
- Expertise in API-12J, 14E, 520, 521, 526 standards and good knowledge of ABS specifications, Shell standards &Norsok standards.
- Decision Making.
- Development of Junior Engineers Responsible for the technical assurance of the FSRU & FPSO process system engineering /detail design produced
- by the EPC Contractor which meets the requirements of all specified codes and standards set out in the FPSO /FSRU Scope of Work.
- Prompt response and input to any technical clarifications / data required from other engineering disciplines and other departments /vendors/client
- Prioritizing and optimizing work as requested by member of other disciplines .
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures.
- Ability to calculate man-hours for the job and good in Pre-bid projects.
Functions:
- Review and comment on design of process philosophies, calculations, and other process deliverables.
- Review comments from certifying authorities (such as ABS, DNV etc.) on design system (including safety aspect).
- Ensure the quality and precise data in process deliverables.
- Lead HAZID’s and HAZOP’s.
- Interfacing with vendor, various departments and client.
- Review and comment plans for FAT and participate in such tests.
- Ensure project safety and quality.
- Conversant with different process simulation software like HYSYS, flarenet, pipenet etc.
Additional Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers.
- Expert in Aspen HYSYS or UNISIM, Aspen Flarenet, HTRI and good knowledge of PIPESIM & OLGA.
- Excellent computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook).
- Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service.
- Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given.
- Prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices.
