  • Job designation: VP - Finance Function Finance Grade/ Band M6
  • Qualification: Experience & Educational Requirements Educational Qualification Include Additional Certification if any Chartered Accountant or Cost Accountant or Full time MBA in Finance
  • Responsible for providing objective and analytical insights on financial impact and soundness of business decisions to the top management.
  • Provide active support in developing organizational strategies by contributing financial & accounting information, analysis, recommendations and provide financial advice on business strategies.
  • Establish finance function objectives in line with organizational priorities.
  • Develop a systemic framework for proactively identifying, assessing various business and financial risks impacting the organization along with mitigation strategy for the same.
  • Ensure a good credit rating commensurate with the strength of the company.
  • Ensure effective managing of consortium of bankers.
  • Implement appropriate fund raising and deployment strategies.
  • Ensure efficient & effective management of company's finances through all necessary financial controls, systems and processes.
  • Establish review mechanism for ensuring accuracy and integrity of the company’s financial records.
  • Oversee financial and accounting system controls and standards and ensures timely financial and variance reports.
  • Identify key business measures and set up monitoring systems to ensure that the desired targets are achieved.
  • Ensure statutory compliances of all systems, processes & accounting practices.
  • Designing and implement accounting policies & procedures in compliance with statutory requirements
  • Ensures timely and efficient vendors and contractors payments in line with the applicable statutory/regulatory requirements
  • Ensure the gas payment are made payment within due date in coordination with commercial department.
  • Ensure effective implementation of Standard Operating Procedures related to taxation.
  • Define indirect tax strategy so as to control the indirect tax liability of the organization to increase profits after tax and also to ensure compliance (including ST, Excise, and VAT etc.)
  • Liaise with banks and financial institutions in all matters of credit, funding, and cash investment.
  • Evaluate alternative long-term borrowing strategies and make recommendations in accordance with the capital structure guidelines.
  • Plan and forecast finances required for capital expenditure as per the budget and responsible for raising capital in the most cost efficient manner to fund the capital expenditure.
  • Manage the investment portfolio so as to maximize yield over the long term in line with the overall asset-liability management strategies.
  • Responsible for setting framework for annual business planning and budgeting, timelines, frequency, pre-work from department heads
  • Communicate financial targets for business plan / rolling estimates to key stakeholders in the organization.
  • Assist department heads with variance analysis and corrective mechanisms.
  • Develop relationships with various stakeholders – bankers, funding institutions, potential investors and internal teams for improving financial health and key metrics.
  • Responsible for preparation of trend analyses/ reports on financial results, costs, revenues, cost income ratio etc. to give clarity on the financial health of the business to top management and Board of Directors.
  • Coordinate with HR department to ensure finance department is adequately staffed as per the manpower requirements
  • Own and develop high potential talent and create a talent pipeline for the department.
  • Ensure high level of employee engagement and retention of critical employees.
